The Masiphumelele Public Library computer and internet access is offered free to the community at various skill levels.

There
are 3 beginner classes every week open to all at different levels of
proficiency. An experiential approach is taken so that at the end of the
class, the participants take with them what they have made.

Those students who are computer literate sign on for the intermediate class which is based on the ICDL model and held bi-weekly.

Job readiness courses are run in conjunction with the computer training. In this 3 month course, participants learn to write cv’s, fill in job applications, write cover letters and search the internet for jobs.

The computer room becomes an internet café when there are no formal classes. Volunteers are always on duty to make sure the community has assistance and everyone is given a chance to access the computers.

IkamvaYouth has 12 netbooks which learners use for assignments and research, especially for further study opportunities and bursaries.
